When I was researching the purchase of a new bicycle, I found Brookside Bikes from the Raleigh website. I had decided an electric bicycle with power assist would help me to get back out there on the road to improving my health and physical condition. From my first phone call to Daniel to my visits to test ride and purchase my Detour I.E. and a subsequent conference call with Raleigh tech support for what turned out to be a loose connector in the controller display, he took the time to understand my needs and provide clear answers to all my questions. I was amazed to find this full-service bicycle shop located on a side road outside Mifflinburg. They carry all types of bikes from road, mountain, hybrid and fat tire and every accessory one might need to ride safely. I also purchased a Thule car rack as he helped research to find one that would support the extra weight of my bike. He assisted and showed me how to secure my bike for transport. The prices here are lower than what you will find at a chain department store and they service all types of bicycles.
This is such a great place to buy a bike. I got mine a month ago and I'm so happy with it, but that's just the beginning. They did excellent repairs and tuneups to my older bikes too, now I'm set. They're a small, family owned shop on scenic Conley Rd. I've never seen a bike shop where you can take a better test ride, the roads around are some of the best cycling in central PA. Prices are as good as you'll find in the area. For example, I'm far from rich, and I could afford it no prob. If you're thinking about getting a new bike, need repairs, or cycling products, totally go here.
